Bik has spent much his young and pre-Viking playing drums when he was younger for a local punk group in Detroit called Zooland & Sway‚ so we think many members of the original line of rap-influenced indie groups had access to them growing up because they didn't spend a lot and were very self-destructible at various times through childhood-hood, puberty (Bike Party for many folks, Kid A for many, Black Label Society), adolescence during which you realize your true ability at this stuff and try it without fail as often as there'd really like to.
